Background Story
Beaumont was born to luxury and privilege on Coruscant. He was deemed lazy and useless by his parents, which was a jump point to him joining the Resistance. He had been attending the Arhul Hextrophon School of Embedded Journalism and had a promising future in the field, had it not been for a fateful meeting with Rebel Alliance historian Voren Na’al there, who had connections with the one, the only General Leia Organa Solo.
He joined the Resistance and participated in the liberation of Kashyyyk, and then again in the Battle of Exegol. He has been majorly focused on his duties as primary historian and researcher for the Resistance, but he does find himself closely attracted to Kaydel Ko Connix, although he doesn’t have the chutzpah to tell her how he really feels.
He sought the counsel on matters of the heart from Leia, who served as a mother-figure to many of the soldiers under her service. Leia insisted that Beau tell Kay how he feels before it’s too late, and after she lost Han, she felt more persistent that time is always too short, and he needed to hurry up before someone else did. He was going to ask her out when the alarms went off in D’Qar and everyone was forced to evacuate as the First Order had discovered their location.

INT. CRAIT, RESISTANCE BASE, COMMANDERS HUDDLE ROOM – NOON
The entire leadership of the Resistance is gathered in the main conference room, called the “Huddle Room”. Around the center console gather the who’s who of not just the Resistance, but the former Rebel Alliance. FINN confirms that KYLO REN, now BEN SOLO, is alive and informs the group that he saved REY and helped to kill the Emperor.
FINN and POE knew this news wouldn’t be taken well. POE rubs a hand through his hair and exhales. NORRA looks to WEDGE in almost horror.
NORRA WEXLEY
Poe, the man is a war criminal! He killed my son.
(look to Harter)
And Harter’s!
(to Poe)
And you’re asking us to what? Forget all of that? NO!
HARTER KALONIA
Yes, he did. We’re not excusing that, Norra. But there are facts about what has happened to him that you do not know about.
NORRA WEXLEY
I don’t care. He should be arrested and tried for his crimes!
BEAUMONT KIN
I have to agree with Norra here.
LARMA D’ACY
Ben Solo is Leia’s only son. I cannot imagine what she would say if we did that to him without an ounce of compassion.
BEAUMONT KIN
He didn’t have compassion for any of us out there, why should we return the favor?
LARMA D’ACY
Because we’re not like the First Order.
NORRA WEXLEY
Well, you didn’t lose a child in this war, Larma!
WEDGE ANTILLES
Norra, please. It would benefit for us to hear them out. As a dear friend of Leia’s, I owe her that much. And you do too.
NORRA sighs deeply. She knows WEDGE is right, but the pain of losing TEMIN (Snap) is still so raw for her.
